
Developed and delivered a country-specific configuration for Ghana within the PyPSA-Earth repository, enabling detailed grid modeling and visualization tailored to Ghana’s energy landscape. The work involved refactoring and centralizing configuration files using Python and YAML, with a focus on maintainability and reproducibility. Infrastructure was added to support technology cost projections and automated data recovery, enhancing the model’s ability to analyze policy-relevant scenarios. Continuous integration and data hygiene practices were strengthened through pre-commit fixes and syntax improvements. This contribution provided full-year data coverage and historical consistency, supporting robust energy-transition analytics for Ghana within the open-energy-transition/pypsa-earth project.
