During February 2026, Hxnd contributed to the rclone/rclone repository by expanding the IONOS Cloud S3 provider’s regional coverage and endpoints. This work involved updating YAML-based configuration files to support additional regions, thereby improving accessibility and reducing latency for users operating in diverse geographies. Hxnd focused on backend development and cloud storage configuration, ensuring that the new endpoints were fully integrated and compatible with existing workflows. The changes included enhancements to documentation and tests, supporting maintainability and future scalability. While the scope was focused on a single feature, the update addressed a clear need for broader S3-compatible cloud storage support.
