Worked on the CivicTechWR/connectedkw repository to enhance the FSA data endpoint supporting the One Million Neighbours page. Developed a new backend API route in JavaScript using Next.js, enabling retrieval of unconfirmed FSA data and integrating it directly into the UI. Updated the endpoint to source information from new Directus database tables, and implemented concurrent fetching of both general and geographical data to improve response times. Delivered a combined JSON payload for streamlined visualization on the front end. Focused on API development, backend integration, and database connectivity, this work improved data accessibility and UI responsiveness without introducing new bugs during the period.
