During March 2025, Shubhamsaboo enhanced the RunTag parsing logic in the trigger.dev repository to more robustly split key-value pairs, particularly when values included special characters or resembled ID formats. Using JavaScript, TypeScript, and regular expressions, Shubhamsaboo addressed edge cases that previously caused parsing errors, ensuring more reliable extraction of tag data. The work included comprehensive unit tests to validate the new logic and prevent future regressions, as well as updates to the documentation for clarity and maintainability. This focused engineering effort delivered a core feature with strong test coverage and clear traceability to the related issue in the project.
