Worked on the woocommerce/google-listings-and-ads repository to deliver a permission-aware user interface for the MainTabNav component, focusing on aligning visible navigation tabs with user permissions and feature flags. Utilized React and JavaScript to implement immutable data handling, ensuring that tab filtering occurs efficiently and predictably during rendering. Developed a comprehensive test suite to validate MainTabNav behavior across scenarios such as Google Merchant Center connection presence and reports enablement, emphasizing robust front end development and automated testing practices. This approach reduced support overhead and improved user experience by ensuring the UI dynamically reflects the correct permissions and feature availability for each user.
