Worked on the dalathegreat/Battery-Emulator repository to enhance State of Charge (SoC) estimation for battery management systems, focusing on improving accuracy and robustness in embedded environments. Developed new firmware logic in C++ to compensate for internal resistance and updated lookup tables, resulting in more precise SoC calculations across varying operating conditions. Addressed edge-case failures by correcting SOC-to-voltage mapping and implementing a fallback to BMS-reported SoC when cell count was unconfirmed, increasing reliability during configuration. Demonstrated expertise in embedded systems, matrix-based estimation, and defensive programming, delivering a more resilient battery modeling tool for QA, testing, and hardware validation workflows.
April 2025 performance summary for dalathegreat/Battery-Emulator: Implemented enhancements to State of Charge (SoC) estimation and fixed robustness gaps, delivering more accurate and reliable battery modeling used for QA, testing, and hardware validation.
