Worked on the jenkinsci/JiraTestResultReporter-plugin, focusing on improving reliability and data integrity in Jira issue management. Addressed a bug where the plugin’s search operation could inadvertently create duplicate Jira issues if an existing issue was already present. Implemented a targeted fix in Java, ensuring that the integration now properly checks for existing issues before creating new ones, thereby preventing redundancy. Validated the solution through code review and pull request workflows, locking in the duplicate-avoidance behavior for test result reporting. Leveraged skills in Java, Jenkins plugin development, and REST API integration to enhance the robustness of automated issue tracking processes.
