Worked on the AerynOS/recipes repository to deliver a comprehensive PostgreSQL 18.4 upgrade focused on reliability, security, and enterprise readiness. The project integrated systemd socket activation and restricted database access to localhost, enhancing both operational security and performance. Enterprise authentication hooks were prepared for OAuth and Kerberos, with build-time LDAP support and libpq-oauth integration. The work included extensive build enhancements, expanded locale support, and the addition of the xml2 extension. Networking was tuned for performance using NoDelay, and systemd service configurations were refined for on-demand startup, all while maintaining traceability through commit references. Skills applied included infrastructure, Linux packaging, and systemd.
