Contributed to the mvl-boston/opendbc repository by implementing CUPRA Born 2023 vehicle recognition support, expanding compatibility for MEB-based vehicles. Developed a new fingerprint and a dedicated test route, which improved recognition accuracy and enabled more reliable data extraction for downstream analytics and automated workflows. The work involved updating fingerprints.py to streamline the CUPRA recognition workflow and validating the new test route to ensure robust production performance. Collaborated with other contributors to enhance traceability and maintainability of changes. Utilized Python for both feature development and unit testing, applying automotive software development practices to address vehicle identification challenges within the codebase.
