Worked on the zephyrproject-rtos/poky repository to expand and standardize locale support across Debian-based distributions. Focused on enabling en_US.UTF-8 locale installation for both Ubuntu and Debian by updating poky.yaml.in and improving system requirements documentation. The approach emphasized non-interactive deployment scenarios, reducing friction for downstream users and continuous integration environments. Utilized RST for documentation and YAML for configuration management, ensuring consistent locale setup across different systems. The work addressed a previous limitation where locale enablement was only available on Ubuntu, resulting in improved localization support and a unified installation process for developers and automated deployment pipelines in diverse environments.
