Developed a configurable JAVA_GADGET_CHAIN option for the Shiro module within the rapid7/metasploit-framework repository, enabling operators to select the appropriate deserialization gadget chain based on the target’s classpath. This feature was implemented using Ruby and leveraged the OptEnum construct to provide a modular, backward-compatible solution that defaults to CommonsCollections2, preserving existing behavior. The work demonstrated expertise in exploit development and the Metasploit framework, focusing on increasing flexibility and accuracy for targeted environments. By reducing the need for manual module edits, the change streamlined testing workflows while maintaining stability, as no major bugs were introduced or fixed during this period.
