Irachex expanded audio format support in the Blaizzy/mlx-audio repository by implementing FFmpeg-based encoding for OGG, Opus, and Vorbis formats using Python. This work included developing robust audio I/O features and integrating comprehensive tests to ensure reliability, particularly handling scenarios where FFmpeg may not be available. Irachex also improved test formatting to enhance continuous integration workflows and updated the project’s documentation in Markdown to clearly outline new format requirements and FFmpeg usage. By addressing both feature development and test robustness, Irachex delivered a well-rounded update that improved compatibility, maintainability, and clarity for users and contributors working with audio processing.
