
Developed foundational elevator integration for the CMU-cabot/cabot-navigation repository, focusing on cross-system coordination to enhance passenger flow, safety, and operator control. Built an Elevator Control System using Python and ROS, implementing server-backed calls, timer-based door sequencing, and robust error handling to improve reliability and authorization. Enabled dynamic configuration of elevator behavior through event-driven subscriptions and notifications, allowing seamless interaction with the navigation system. Restored elevator control access in the user interface by reverting a previous export change. Addressed timing and error-handling bugs, tuning delays and validating intervals to ensure predictable, safe elevator operations within a Docker-based backend environment.
