Worked on the XTLS/Xray-core repository to develop a dynamic DNS-based addressPortStrategy for SocketConfig, enabling runtime resolution of server addresses and ports through SRV and TXT DNS records. This feature introduced parsing of strategy types and robust DNS querying, allowing destination addresses and ports to be overridden dynamically and reducing the need for manual configuration. The approach enhanced deployment flexibility and service discovery in dynamic network environments. The work leveraged Go for network programming and protocol implementation, with a focus on configuration management and DNS resolution to support more resilient and adaptable routing strategies within the project’s core networking components.
Monthly summary for 2025-03 focused on the XTLS/Xray-core repository. Delivered a new dynamic DNS-based addressPortStrategy for SocketConfig enabling SRV/TXT DNS-based address and port resolution, with parsing of strategy types and DNS querying to override destination. This work reduces manual config and enhances service discovery and routing flexibility.
