Worked on enhancing proxy configuration management in the dotnet/yarp repository, focusing on backend development and performance optimization using C#. Delivered a feature that pre-sizes HashSets within the ProxyConfigManager to reduce memory allocations and improve initialization speed, directly addressing startup latency in edge proxy scenarios. Introduced Debug.Assert checks to validate cluster and route updates, which helps catch misconfigurations early and increases the reliability of dynamic updates. These changes strengthened the safety and maintainability of the proxy configuration process, resulting in improved system stability. The work demonstrated a methodical approach to optimizing performance and robustness in a complex backend environment.
