Worked on the crossoverJie/starrocks repository to deliver two core features focused on enhancing MySQL compatibility, with particular emphasis on string manipulation functions. Developed a MySQL-compatible TRIM function in C++ that supports the full TRIM([{BOTH|LEADING|TRAILING}] FROM str) syntax, aligning closely with MySQL semantics to reduce the need for workaround code in database operations. Employed robust database management and SQL skills to ensure the implementation met compatibility requirements. Maintained high code quality through a disciplined Git workflow, including signed-off commits and collaborative development practices, which supported traceability and facilitated effective cross-team contributions throughout the development process.
