Worked on the microsoft/AzureTRE repository to address a critical reliability issue in virtual machine scale set provisioning. Focused on resolving a cloud-init startup failure by upgrading the gnupg2 dependency, which reduced deployment errors and eased support demands for customer environments. Applied skills in Cloud Engineering, DevOps, and Infrastructure as Code, using Python and YAML to implement and document the fix. Maintained release hygiene by updating the changelog and incrementing the core version to 0.16.2, ensuring traceability through aligned release notes. This targeted bug fix improved the stability of VM provisioning workflows and contributed to smoother deployment processes.
