Contributed to the AliceO2Group/O2Physics repository by developing and enhancing data analysis features for particle physics workflows over four months. Built new C++ modules to enrich PWGHF and XicToXiPiPi analyses, including adding decay length metadata and integrating machine learning scores into data pipelines. Improved data quality and reliability by implementing robust handling of ML probability vectors and fixing critical bugs affecting data reconstruction. Leveraged C++ and ROOT to extend treeCreator functionality, enabling more precise signal discrimination and streamlined ML experiments. Focused on maintainable code and workflow management, the work strengthened both the physics analysis infrastructure and machine learning readiness.
Month: 2026-03 – Key development momentum in O2Physics. Delivered Machine Learning Scores Integration in treeCreator for Xic to XiPiPi analysis, adding new columns and processing functions to enable ML-ready data pipelines. This work strengthens the data structure for ML studies and accelerates ML experiments within the O2Physics repository.

2025-08: Delivered XicToXiPiPi Decay Length Analysis Extension in AliceO2Group/O2Physics, adding a new DecayLengthMcGen column to store the decay length of generated particles for non-prompt charm hadrons originating from b quarks. This enriches the XicToXiPiPi analysis with richer decay information, enabling improved signal/background discrimination and more precise physics measurements. Implemented as part of commit cf8b32d953b1962abf45b8a68610768885d3539f ("[PWGHF] XicToXiPiPi: Add DecayLengthMcGen column"), linked to PR #12627.

February 2025 monthly summary for AliceO2Group/O2Physics: Implemented a stability improvement in the ML probability vector handling within the task workflow. Added a size check to prevent out-of-bounds access and ensured outputFD is assigned only when the score vector contains exactly 3 elements. These changes reduce the risk of runtime crashes and incorrect outputs in production ML inference paths, improving reliability of physics data processing pipelines.
