During March 2026, Jshiv developed Camera Service SOC ID support for the Talos family and implemented a vendor tag descriptor within the qualcomm-linux/meta-qcom repository. Leveraging Python and expertise in API development and embedded systems, Jshiv upgraded the camera-service to version 0.1.0, aligning the packaging with versioned recipes and referencing build variables for reproducibility. The work enabled correct library selection for CAMX and streamlined vendor tag access through the Connect API, addressing integration and compatibility challenges for Talos devices. Jshiv’s contributions focused on enhancing build reliability and device support, reflecting a targeted and technically sound engineering approach.
