Developed a customizable author signature formatting feature for log views in the pksunkara/jj repository, focusing on enhancing user control and branding consistency. The work introduced a template alias hook, format_short_signature_oneline, which allows users to tailor how author signatures appear in the builtin_log_compact_oneline view, aligning its flexibility with other log views. This solution leveraged configuration and templating skills, utilizing TOML to enable granular control over the signature’s email local part. The feature reduced the need for manual formatting, streamlining the user experience and supporting consistent presentation across different log views. No bug fixes were recorded during this period.
