Worked on the uiowa/uiowa repository to enhance the Academic Dates Block by refining its display logic. Addressed a backend issue where unreviewed dates were shown by implementing a filter that ensures only dates meeting both print and review criteria are visible. This adjustment, developed using PHP within the Drupal framework, improved the accuracy of date information presented to end users and streamlined the editorial workflow for date-driven content. Updated automated tests to validate the new filtering behavior, ensuring ongoing reliability. The work focused on backend development, emphasizing data integrity and maintainability within the existing Drupal-based infrastructure.
