Worked on the temporalio/ui repository to deliver a new authentication feature that allows optional use of the ID token as a Bearer token via the TEMPORAL_AUTH_USE_ID_TOKEN_AS_BEARER environment variable. This involved updating the authentication configuration and backend logic to support flexible authorization header management. The implementation included comprehensive tests to ensure correct behavior under different configuration scenarios. The work leveraged Go for backend development and YAML for configuration management, focusing on maintainability and clarity in the authentication flow. No bugs were addressed during this period, with efforts concentrated on feature delivery and robust test coverage for the new functionality.
