Developed a progressive loan interest accrual control feature for the openMF/web-app, focusing on enhancing accuracy and configurability in loan interest calculations. The work involved implementing a new loan product setting that allows administrators to prevent interest from being calculated on past-due principal balances for progressive loan types. This was achieved by adding a configurable checkbox and updating the user interface to display this option conditionally, ensuring alignment with API-level enforcement as specified in FINERACT-1981. The solution was built using Angular, TypeScript, and HTML, resulting in more precise business logic and improved flexibility for managing progressive loan products.
