Janis Bebritis developed a flexible service exposure configuration for the uselagoon/lagoon-charts repository, focusing on enhancing how SSH, SSH Portal, SSH Token, and Broker services are exposed within Kubernetes environments. Leveraging Helm and YAML, Janis introduced per-service annotations, externalTrafficPolicy, and loadBalancerSourceRanges, allowing operators to fine-tune traffic routing and control access at a granular level. This work improved security, observability, and governance by enabling more precise configuration of service exposure. The feature addressed the need for customizable service access in multi-environment deployments, demonstrating a solid understanding of Kubernetes networking and Helm chart templating within a production-focused workflow.
