Developed the initial scaffolding for Android for Cars within the android/snippets repository, establishing core UI screens, templates, and reusable resources to streamline future automotive interface development. Leveraged Kotlin and XML to implement a security settings flow that checks and opens device security settings, enhancing deployment readiness and aligning with safety requirements for car environments. Expanded the codebase to support browser-specific contexts, enabling broader applicability of the UI components. The work focused on creating a robust foundation for rapid delivery of new car-app features, emphasizing modular UI design and collaborative development practices to reduce setup time for subsequent automotive projects.
