Worked on the Shopify/cli repository to enhance the reliability and clarity of CI/CD pipelines by addressing environment variable handling within GitHub Actions workflows. Over two months, focused on both fixing bugs and delivering a targeted workflow refactor, using YAML and DevOps best practices to ensure robust configuration. Improved the formatting and execution of environment variables, which reduced CI interruptions and made automated builds and releases more consistent. Refactored test coverage steps to provide clearer reporting and more predictable results, streamlining pull request validation. The work contributed to a more stable CI process and improved visibility for debugging and release management.
