Worked on enhancing the bufbuild/protovalidate repository by delivering Bazel 9 compatibility and improving build stability. Addressed Bazel 9’s stricter rule loading by explicitly loading cc_proto_library, ensuring that protovalidate builds cleanly in updated Bazel environments without affecting users on earlier versions. Tackled a minor sha256 warning in the buf toolchain, which reduced unnecessary CI log noise and contributed to a smoother developer experience. The work focused on build system configuration and protobuf integration, leveraging expertise in Bazel to maintain backward compatibility while improving reliability for Bazel 9 workflows. No bugs were fixed during this period, with one feature delivered.
