Developed and delivered four new features across the microsoft/omnichannel-chat-sdk and microsoft/omnichannel-chat-widget repositories, focusing on secure mid-conversation authentication and user experience improvements. Implemented a new authentication flow that allows users to upgrade from unauthenticated to authenticated status during active chat sessions, enhancing both security and usability. Utilized TypeScript, JavaScript, and React to manage state transitions, token handling, and telemetry instrumentation. Updated dependencies for long-term maintainability and improved feature parity. Enhanced the chat widget’s typing animation for smoother feedback, and ensured robust code quality through comprehensive unit testing, linting, and changelog updates, supporting maintainable and reliable codebases.
