Worked on the kubernetes/kops repository to deliver a feature upgrade focused on improving storage interoperability and performance for OpenStack-backed clusters. Updated the CSI Snapshotter image to a version that enhances compatibility with OpenStack, addressing snapshot operation reliability and reducing related issues. The implementation involved managing container images and integrating changes using YAML, aligning with Kubernetes storage best practices. This work improved the release readiness of kops for OpenStack environments and demonstrated proficiency in cloud infrastructure and DevOps workflows. The approach emphasized cross-team collaboration and careful version management to ensure seamless deployment and improved snapshot performance in production environments.
