Worked on stabilizing the messaging experience in the linagora/twake-on-matrix repository by addressing a bug in the Message Timeline’s unread indicator. Focused on backend development using Dart and Flutter, the solution involved refining the logic to exclude the current user's seen receipts from unread message calculations. This adjustment ensured that the unread status accurately reflected only messages unseen by the user, improving UI correctness and reducing potential confusion. The fix was implemented with careful unit testing and targeted debugging, resulting in a more reliable timeline component and lowering the likelihood of user support requests related to message status discrepancies.
