During July 2025, contributed to the archivesspace/archivesspace repository by enhancing deployment observability and log management through Shell scripting and system administration expertise. Developed a configurable log append mode for the ArchivalSpace launcher, allowing operators to control whether logs are appended or overwritten using the ARCHIVESSPACE_APPEND_LOGS environment variable. This approach improved log retention and debugging capabilities while maintaining backward compatibility across different environments. The work focused on feature delivery rather than bug fixes, emphasizing code quality and operational flexibility. By extending the launcher’s logging functionality, enabled more reproducible deployments and streamlined troubleshooting processes for system administrators and operators.
