In September 2025, Jedo focused on improving the reliability of Android build processes in the androidx/androidx repository. He addressed a critical stability issue affecting generated sources by restructuring the build variant dependency chain, migrating task dependencies to use Provider<?> through the Variant API. This technical approach replaced the previous srcDir usage, resulting in more robust dependency wiring and reducing build flakiness in AGP-based projects. Working primarily with Groovy and Java in the context of Android Development and Gradle, Jedo’s targeted bug fix enabled safer incremental builds and ensured that generated sources are handled correctly throughout the Android build lifecycle.
