Worked on the heroku/cli repository to migrate PostgreSQL commands from the pg-extras plugin directly into the Heroku CLI, expanding native database management capabilities and streamlining the user experience. Utilized TypeScript for CLI development and PostgreSQL integration, focusing on delivering a more consistent interface for database operations. Addressed a critical issue in the pg:calls command to ensure reliable behavior, while also increasing test coverage for the newly integrated commands. Enhanced usability by adding usage examples and improved code quality through linting and spelling dictionary updates. Emphasized maintainability and developer workflow, with a focus on robust testing and clear documentation throughout the process.
