Worked on the trinodb/trino repository to enhance the Iceberg JDBC Catalog by enabling reuse of the existing view location during view replacement operations. This approach improved consistency in view metadata and minimized unnecessary changes, reducing downstream impact for users relying on Iceberg-integrated views. The solution focused on maintaining compatibility and stability within the view replacement workflow, ensuring a more reliable lifecycle for views. Leveraged Java for backend development and incorporated thorough testing to validate the feature. The work demonstrated clear traceability from commit to delivery, reflecting a methodical engineering process and a focus on maintainability within the Trino architecture.
