Worked on the payloadcms/payload repository to update Spanish translations for greater inclusivity, focusing on gender-neutral language across user-facing strings. Addressed gender agreement issues in collection labels to ensure correct phrasing regardless of grammatical gender, and standardized translation context for general messages. The work was implemented in TypeScript, leveraging front end development and localization skills to improve the internationalization (i18n) framework. All changes were traceable to a single commit, with detailed review notes left for future enhancements. This targeted feature improved translation equity in the UI and laid groundwork for ongoing i18n polish, demonstrating attention to detail and collaborative documentation.
