Worked on the grafana/helm-charts repository to deliver a feature enhancement for the Grafana Tempo Helm chart, focusing on improving persistence and PVC labeling. The approach involved updating YAML templates to add labels to persistent volume claim templates and refining the persistence configuration for both the ingester and metrics generator components. This change aimed to increase deployment reliability and operational clarity for Kubernetes users. The chart version was incremented to support safer upgrades and clearer release tracking. The work demonstrated practical skills in DevOps, Kubernetes, and Helm, with an emphasis on code quality and maintainability rather than bug fixes during this period.
