Worked on stabilizing the FTorch build system within the Cambridge-ICCS/FTorch repository, focusing on resolving a critical issue related to environment variable checks in CMake. Addressed a fatal error that previously caused unnecessary build failures when Python virtual environments such as virtualenv or Conda were not activated, ensuring builds now proceed smoothly in both local and CI environments. Utilized expertise in CMake and build system configuration to enhance reliability and developer productivity.
