During December 2025, James Inman developed a cross-provider DNS management formula for the chenrui333/homebrew-core repository, enabling Homebrew users to manage DNS across multiple providers using OctoDNS. He implemented the new formula in Ruby, carefully handling package management and integrating all necessary dependencies and test configurations to ensure compatibility with octodns version 1.15.0. James updated the test suite to maintain continuous integration reliability and prepared the repository for seamless adoption of the new feature.
