During two months contributing to AliceO2Group/O2Physics and AliceO2Group/AliceO2, Jan built and refined data analysis features supporting high energy physics workflows. He enhanced tracking efficiency histograms by increasing species bin granularity and improved axis handling reliability, enabling more precise and robust data visualizations. Jan also developed a flexible track count histogram with optional statistics-range restriction, facilitating granular analysis for PWGCF correlations. Addressing numerical accuracy, he fixed weight variance calculations in StepTHn by correcting sum of squared weights and clarifying Sumw2 usage. His work, using C++ and statistical methods, improved data quality, maintainability, and reliability across both repositories.

July 2025 performance snapshot focusing on data-analysis features and numerical correctness across O2Physics and AliceO2. Delivered a new Track Count Histogram with an optional statistics-range restriction, enabling granular data analysis and more precise PWGCF correlations. Fixed a bug in StepTHn weight variance calculation by correcting the initialization of mSumw2 and the sum of squared weights, and by clarifying explicit Sumw2 usage. These changes enhance data quality, reliability of physics analyses, and maintainability across repos.
