Developed an orphaned extension data notification system for the microsoft/BCApps repository, focusing on improving data governance and user experience. The work centered on AL programming and back end development, introducing a user-facing notification on the Extension Management page to surface uninstalled extensions with synchronized data. Implemented a guided workflow that enables users to review and delete orphaned data, reducing data staleness after extension removal. Refactored notification logic for maintainability by removing redundant permission checks and aligning variable names with AL conventions. All changes were consolidated under a single work item, ensuring traceability and alignment with project governance and database management practices.
