Worked on enhancing the cloudposse/atmos repository by improving the usability and flexibility of Terraform’s plan-diff functionality. Focused on enabling YAML-based configuration processing within plan-diff, the work introduced support for YAML files and implemented logic to properly skip unnecessary Terraform initialization steps. This approach streamlined configuration management workflows and reduced plan execution time, particularly benefiting teams with YAML-centric environments. The feature was developed using Go and leveraged DevOps practices alongside Terraform expertise. By consolidating these enhancements, the contribution accelerated environment provisioning and made plan-diff more adaptable for diverse infrastructure-as-code scenarios, reflecting a targeted and technically sound engineering effort.
