During September 2025, Jila developed and delivered a Video Management System for the JilaApp/Jila repository, supporting add, delete, and retrieve operations for video content on an educational platform serving Q’anjob’al-speaking immigrants. Leveraging Next.js, PostgreSQL, and Prisma, Jila implemented backend persistence by merging a feature pull request that stores video metadata in the database, establishing a scalable foundation for future enhancements such as search and categorization. The work emphasized robust code review and pull request workflows, resulting in a stable release with no critical bugs reported. Jila’s contributions focused on full stack development using JavaScript, TypeScript, and SQL.
