Worked on the civicrm-core repository to enhance the event registration confirmation flow, focusing on streamlining paid-event registrations. Used PHP and Smarty to implement configurable options that allow disabling the confirmation screen for paid events and introduced a direct skip-to-thank-you path when no additional participants are present. Improved the user interface by refining title logic and conditionally updating the 'Review' button based on the confirmation screen state. These backend and frontend changes reduced unnecessary steps for users, improved consistency across event configurations, and aimed to increase completion rates. The work demonstrated attention to both user experience and maintainable code structure.
