During this period, contributed to WildMeOrg/Wildbook by developing an Encounter Images Export API and enhancing the Encounter Annotations Excel Export. The work involved building a new API endpoint in Java for exporting encounter images, incorporating image cropping and organizing exports by individual ID, with comprehensive tests using JUnit and REST Assured to validate output. Additionally, improved the Excel export by adding a URL column, strengthening error handling, and refactoring export logic into a shared module for maintainability. These features streamlined data portability and quality for partners, while the technical approach emphasized modular backend development and robust API testing practices.
