Worked on implementing Korean localization for the Ubuntu Desktop installation and provisioning flows within the canonical/ubuntu-desktop-provision repository. Leveraged JSON and Weblate to translate 69.5% of user-facing strings, focusing on the installer, bootstrap, and autoinstall components to enhance accessibility for Korean-speaking users. Established a Weblate-driven workflow to streamline ongoing translation efforts and support future localization updates. The work involved three translation commits, integrating new Korean language support directly into the provisioning process. This effort laid the foundation for broader language coverage and improved user experience, utilizing skills in localization, software development, and translation to address internationalization needs.
