Worked on the monta-app/github-workflows repository to enhance CI/CD efficiency and cross-platform support by implementing architecture-aware Docker layer caching within GitHub Actions. Focused on optimizing build performance, the approach included conditional Docker Buildx setup and per-architecture cache scoping using YAML, which helped prevent cache conflicts across different architectures. Manual multi-arch Docker manifest creation was enabled, and Docker image provenance was disabled to streamline builds and improve compatibility. The work involved rapid iteration, including rolling back the caching feature to maintain stability and align with policy requirements. The efforts demonstrated a practical application of DevOps, Docker, and CI/CD best practices.
