Worked on the linkerd/linkerd2 repository to enhance the maintainability of build and utility scripts within the bin directory. Focused on refactoring shell scripts by standardizing the use of quotes, refining interpreter selection, and simplifying conditional syntax, the work aimed to improve script readability and reduce onboarding time for new maintainers. Leveraging skills in build automation and shell scripting, the changes established a more consistent scripting standard and laid the groundwork for more reliable automation in CI/CD workflows. This effort addressed maintainability risks and contributed to a more robust build pipeline, supporting future development and smoother collaboration within the project.
