Worked on slimming the VyOS kernel configuration within the psleng/nexus-build repository, focusing on embedded systems and kernel configuration using C. The primary goal was to optimize the kernel build size by carefully reducing enabled features in the VyOS defconfig, resulting in smaller and more maintainable kernel images. This approach decreased the maintenance surface and improved build feedback times, supporting more efficient development cycles. No major bugs were addressed during this period, as the work concentrated on feature refinement. The technical effort demonstrated a methodical approach to configuration governance, emphasizing lean builds and targeted kernel customization for embedded environments.
