During December 2024, Wei Zhu focused on enhancing the TMDS64EVM board’s serial port configuration within the psleng/nexus-build repository. He restructured the build system using Shell scripting to switch the default console to ttyS3, remove ttyS0, and introduce a new ttyS2 device at 115200 baud. This targeted change improved boot-time serial communication reliability and streamlined remote debugging during early system initialization. Wei’s work demonstrated a clear understanding of embedded systems and build system configuration, delivering a concise, auditable update. The scope was focused, addressing a specific need for robust early-boot communication without introducing unnecessary complexity or unrelated changes.
