Over a two-month period, contributed targeted improvements to network security and automation across openwrt/packages and jellyfin.org repositories. Developed a feature in Bash and JSON for openwrt/packages that extended banIP to block UDP traffic for HTTP/3 on ports 80 and 443, enhancing firewall configuration and protocol coverage. In jellyfin.org, addressed a bug in the Fail2ban configuration by refining a regular expression to accurately match IP addresses in log messages, thereby improving the reliability of automated IP blocking. Demonstrated a methodical approach to system administration and network security, with clear, auditable changes that strengthened both manual and automated defenses.
