In openwrt/packages, Jorti extended banIP to block UDP traffic for HTTP/3 on ports 80 and 443, updating configurations to manage both UDP and TCP protocols for more robust firewall coverage. Using Bash and JSON, Jorti ensured comprehensive protocol filtering and traceable changes. In jellyfin.org, Jorti improved Fail2ban’s IP blocking by refining a regex to accurately match IP addresses in log messages, reducing false positives and negatives. The work demonstrated depth in firewall configuration, system administration, and security automation, addressing protocol-specific vulnerabilities effectively.
